The Best Way to Use Collagen

  • Supplements

When I make the recommendation to include a collagen supplement in your routine, many people ask,

"Isabel, how exactly do I use collagen powder as a part of my New Life Promise meal plans?"

Thankfully, it's super easy and the suggestions below will help you get started.

Remember, not all collagen supplements are created equal, so quality is of the utmost importance here. Essential Elements Collagen Peptides is one of my favorite collagen sources because it is premium collagen and is gluten, dairy, and soy free. It also has a great smooth texture and mixes easily into both hot and cold liquids, making it a great addition to yogurt, smoothies, oatmeal, and some dinner meals (as you will see below).

My recommended dose is 1 full scoop of collagen each day. I find it best to divide it into 2 portions (½ scoop + ½ scoop) throughout the day. Taking 1 full scoop at once will also work well – I just like to spread the benefits out over the course of the day.

How to Use Your Essential Elements Collagen Peptides

The easiest and most common way most people use collagen power is by adding it to their morning coffee or tea. I love this strategy because it is so simple and does not change the taste of your coffee or tea in any way. Just put ½ scoop in a mug, pour your coffee or tea over it, and stir.

Collagen can also be added to the following types of recipes in your New Life Promise meal plans:

Chili or Soup – Place 1 serving of chili or soup in a bowl, add ½ scoop of collagen on top, and mix well.

Smoothies – Add ½ scoop to the blender with all other ingredients and blend.

Greek Yogurt (in snacks) – Stir ½ scoop into Greek yogurt.

Oatmeal – Add ½ scoop to bowl after oatmeal is cooked; stir well. Then add other ingredients as recipe indicates.

Mashed Cauliflower or Potatoes – Stir ½ scoop into 1 serving of mashed cauliflower or potatoes.

It's that easy to add quality collagen to your eating plan each day.

And collagen is not just great for your hair and nails. It's also wonderful for...

  • Improving skin health and reducing wrinkles
  • Relieving joint pain
  • Healing gut issues and improving gut health
  • Preventing bone loss
  • Improving heart health

Yes, it's really that great :)
