Have you ever felt called by the Lord to do something? But then you quickly ask yourself; “Can I actually do this?”

The way we view failure and our fear of failure holds us back from all we can achieve as humans. It makes us view ourselves as lesser and instills nervousness in our hearts, subsequently restraining us from putting our full effort towards our dreams and aspirations. And worst of all, it makes us question our capabilities to do what God is asking us to do.

Luckily, we don't have to let the fear of failing hold us back because the truth God lays before us holds all the strength we need to persevere.

Psalm 37: 23-24 reads, The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him. Though he may stumble, he will not fall. For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

The truth is, although we may walk through trials and failures in our lives, God will never fail us. His love is constant and endures forever.

This truth will not only carry us through failures but will also give us the hope and strength to put ourselves out there and try. Because no matter how many times you "fail" at something, He will never fail. And His love for you will never run out.

As long as we are secure in this belief, the fear of failure in our day-to-day lives diminishes and we are able to go forward in pursuit of our biggest dreams and deepest callings.

This doesn't necessarily mean you won't ever mess up. Of course, life is not perfect and neither are we! But it's not about being perfect, it's about understanding that His plan for you is perfect, and this truth can help you remain strong and positive through life's ups and downs.

Every hardship we endure in life teaches us something; it shows us how we can improve and become even stronger. So why even use a word as harsh as failure when describing our trials? Instead, let's refer to these bumps in the road as things we've learned, and things we can use to improve our lies in the future.

Securing this mindset changes everything. It transforms thinking you're not enough, to knowing that in God's eyes you are exactly who are you are meant to be. It translates your fear of failing into an excitement and determination to try because you know that your worth is not determined by failure when you are walking alongside the Lord. It converts overwhelmed and anxious thoughts to peaceful and joyful thoughts because you trust in His path for you and where He is leading you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 says, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them. For the Lord your God goes with you, He will never leave you or forsake you.
